Acadian Trolls

Early in the 20th Century, John D. Rockefeller financed a series of roads for the exclusive use of horses and carriages. No motor vehicles. He didn’t want the splendor and natural beauty to be spoiled by the noisy and dirty horseless carriage. These carriage roads follow the natural contours of the terrain and cross a number of streams and valleys with a network of stone bridges.
